Comment from YS about Virus and Antivirus

Hi JC, Nice to meet you. Do you know how to check if my computer gets virus? I sometimes cannot tell when my PC gets infected by virus. PC gets much slow, but I cannot see the reason why. I have some antivirus, and it usually works well. But I think it might not be able to detect every type of virus. Thank you, ys

Hello YS Well
There are many ways how a computer can get infected, even if the computer doesn’t have internet it can actually be infected. Some USB or flash drives that were used in another PC infected can carry on it virus.
But when they have internet they can be infected by accepting popup windows and warning on your PC, sometimes we click instinctively just because we want to get a rid of that fastidious windows without noticing a virus, Trojan or spyware getting on our PC.
Other ways is by browsing the internet, there are some ads that shows up saying “your computer is infected Scan your computer for virus scan.” Or something like close to that.
Other common way is the emails that you probably already know. Don’t open anything that you are no familiar with.
As a own experience the other day I found an email from PayPal saying that some feature is changing and needs to logging. Of course that is something call “fishing” they create a website just like PayPal or your bank account to have track of your credentials. Be careful with that and always read the address bar when you approach to do a transaction.
Now you said that you have Antivirus, well antivirus know the name of the virus and when it shows it stop it and say “we have found Trojan trying to access your system”. However, new viruses are keep creating and antivirus doesn’t know the name of all of them. Yet always do antivirus updated maybe the server knows a new name of virus attacking other PCs.
Pirating software, music, videos. You may be thinking: No, it is not a virus since I can hear the music or watch the movie. But believe me it is hiding inside the media file.
That is why here in Wiseclick we do a free scan for all users who think that they may be infected with a virus, spyware, malware remotely.
I hope this answers your question YS and we are in touch.

I can't access internet

If you use cable, then first you need to turn off your computer then your router then your modem (if you don’t have router then only your PC and modem)

Now turn on your Modem wait for all your lights turn on, and then you have to turn on your router wait for your lights to turn on and then turn on your PC.
Try to go to internet.

If it works: download Malwarebytes run it, then download combofix and run it. This will turn off your internet momentarily and wait until it clean all your system.

If it doesn’t work: go to internet explorer, look for “tools” click on “internet options” look for a tab called “connections” at the bottom says “LAN Settings” click on it.
Check the check box at the left of “Use a proxy server for your LAN (these Settings will not apply to Dial-up or VPN Connections)”.
Click on “ADVANCE”
Delete all the numbers in the section, also on exceptions delete whatever is there (everything have to be blank).

Click on Ok, then click No on the windows that will pop up.
Uncheck the checkbox of “Use a proxy server for your LAN (these Settings will not apply to Dial-up or VPN Connections)”.
Click on “OK”
Go to the internet

Once you are in the internet run Malwarebytes and combofix.

It should fix your computer internet issue. If you need more help just chat at the bottom box
